Loving my new Explore....

Hello my Crafty friends!  I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather!!  Spring has really sprung!  LOL   I saw a few videos on how people decorated their new Explore machines, so I decided to decorate mine!!
I love love love butterflies!!!  The Explore cut the lace butterflies so easily!
My name is in my handwriting!!  Yep, that's right, my handwriting!!  I LOVE how you can do that!!  I saw another video where someone showed how to do that.
I love the girl Cricut! She is so happy just like ME!
This little doggie is just like my little doggie Wolfgang!  Had to have him on there!
WolfGang!!
I may change the color of the gray letters...it blends in too much with the words already on the machine.
Here is my new toy, all dressed up!!  I love how it came out!!  I hope you do too.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again really soon!

More iron on's with Explore and my Cameo!

Hi Crafty friends!  I am so happy that the first day of Spring is tomorrow!  It is my favorite time of the year!!  New growth, new beginnings, new life and new adventures!  Love it!  Too bad the weather doesn't act like it's spring!  LOL  I have really been enjoying my new Cricut Explore!  My daughters wanted me to do some sweatshirts for them, so naturally I didn't hesitate. My oldest daughter is 24 and LOVES all things pink and skulls, so I incorporated both in her sweatshirt. I couldn't find the "right" skull she wanted on Design Space, so the first sweatshirt was done on my Silouette.  She came up with the phrase.  The vinyl is Cricut brand vinyl and cut so easily on both machines.  User error the first time so I had to redo it.  I forgot which side to place down when I cut, but live and learn!  LOL

My youngest daughter, who is 16, LOVES Chris Brown.  She is so sad about all he is going through, so she came up with the next sweatshirt design phrases.  We both pray that he gets his life together really soon!!  These next cuts were done in Design Space with my Explore.  I love how you can set your canvas and see placement of the things you are going to cut!  AWESOME idea!!

That's all for me today.  I do hope you like my projects and feel inspired by something you've seen.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you enjoy your first day of Spring tomorrow!!  Come back soon!

my new LOVE....Explore!!

Hello my Crafty friends!  Okay, so I bit the bullet and bought the new Cricut Explore.  And, boy am I glad I did!!  So far I am liking so much about this machine!  The quietness of it while it's cutting, the ease of the cuts, the look of the machine and all the endless amounts of ideas and projects at my fingertips!!  I got it from HSN along with 3 months of all the projects in the Design Space, and with the Anna Griffin exclusive projects and fonts!  Her fonts are so cute!!
So, I made 4 of these thank you cards in 15 minutes, and the items on my daughter's iphone case in less than 10.  Lining up the white part on the panda was hard!  LOL

So far I do like this machine.  It has a few software issues I think could be better and hopefully they will change.  But I can live with it for now.
Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you here again soon. Enjoy your beautiful weekend!

My first 2 shaker cards!

Hello my Crafty friends!!  I am back and I am very excited about my latest creations!  On my blogger emails that I get, I saw a shaker card that Miss Cindy made. Click on her name and go to her blog and see her card.  I loved it and wanted to do one since I had never made a shaker card before.  So I tried it and LOVED it. Here is mine below.
...close up with the glass beads inside.
I think the arrows give it a great masculine touch for a male teen.
This is the inside of the card to match the outside of the card.
I loved this one so much I decided to step it up a notch....My first clear card!!
I used the acetate card to make this shaker card!!
...the 3rd flower is on the inside!
I will definitely make more of these cards!  All of the dies and stamps I used are from MCT.  You can click and go look around her shoppe.  I made it a little easy to cut out the centers of the dollies.  I used the 3 inch Fiskars circle lever punch to cut out the acetate for the window and the 2 inch Fiskars everywhere punch to cut out the center of the dollies on the stitched line.

Well, that's it for my craftiness today.  Thanks so much for coming by!!  Please let me know if you liked my cards.  I would really love to hear from you.  I will see you again soon....right here!
