New Stampin' Up Thinlets

Hello my Crafty friends!!  I have been absent for a week or so.  My youngest daughter has been bitten by the acting bug, so when you get the call for auditions etc...you have to go. This past week has been very busy with those things.  So we have been out and about a lot......and only time to catch your breath in between.  So, my post will be short and sweet!
One of my FB friends sells Stampin' Up, Raven Baca, and I saw these dies and just had to have them!!  They are the thinlet dies.  They have the circle card thinlet die set or the label card thinlet die set.  I got them both!!

The card was made in minutes!!  The hardest part was picking out the paper I wanted to use!  I plan to make many more!  They are so versatile!  Well, I hope you like my post today!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon!!

Love to make BIRTHDAY cards!

Hello CRAFTY friends!  It has been a very cool and rainy day here in Georgia!  I don't mind the rain at all....but it makes me just want to lay here and do NOTHING!   LOL   Some friends and I went out last night to celebrate one of the lady's birthday.  I haven't been out in eons...but I had a blast!  Letting your hair down every once in a while is good medicine!  For my friend Lisa's birthday, I wanted to make her something I haven't made before which is etched wine glasses.  So, I pulled out the supplies needed....watched a you tube video or 2 and got to work........
here is the stencil I used...the R is from the Sil store.  I love the look of it.
I made her a set of the wine glasses.  I really like how they turned out, but it is hard to see on the pics.I also made her a card and altered a gift bag for her.  The "R" on the bags is from the vinyl I used to make the stencil.
My friend likes to shop.  The stamps, the daisy die and the butterfly die are from MCT.  The dress form is from the Fuse.  The step card is from Ginger Adams and the paper is from her line as well.
this is the inside of the card.  I love this font on this stamp so much!  I have used it quite a lot lately.
I Had to add some bling to the glass and her shoes...oh and also on her bag.  Added ink around the edges...and there you go.  Here is the gift bag as well.
My oldest daughter loved the card so much that she asked me to make one for her friend whose party is tonight.  She turns "25"!   I remember that age!  LOL
I do hope you like my projects today.  Thanks for stopping by.  I do hope you come back again!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Light box!!

Hello Crafty friends.  I haven't been too happy with most of my photos that I take because of lighting.  I think some of the pictures come out too dark and you really can't see them very well....so I googled how to make a light box.  I came across a video by Auctiva on how to make a "low budget" light box....and I am impressed!  It was really easy to make.  The hardest part was cutting the cardboard box.  I will show you some pictures without the light box on the left.....and in the light box on the right.

Here is the light box I made!!  I have a lamp on the left side and on top, some tissue paper and  poster board.....and there you go!
I do hope you can see the difference with the light box!   I had fun making the box and the card.....and I saved some $$ because I had all the items in my Crafty Room.
Here is how I made the card:  I used a file from the Silhouette store for the butterfly easel card.  I used some rhinestones I had laying around for a little bling.  I also used MCT  Build a Banner Kit die and the sentiment on the tag is from It's All About You and the inside sentiment is from Polka Dot Surprise stamp set.  I hope you like my project today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again really soon.

Birthday invites for Miss Leeya!

A friend of mine, Niki, asked me to make some invitations for her daughter Leeya's birthday party.  She is turning 3 and loves Doc McStuffins......so her Mom wanted band aids or a doctor's bag.  I found the band aid and a doctor's bag on the Dr. Checkup cartridge....I didn't like the bag so I went with the band aids. Here is the first one I made.....I wasn't feeling the lettering.  This was done with the Cricut mini, Disney font and a pink gel pen.
My daughter came up with the idea to emboss them with the dots to make them feel more like a real band aid....great idea!! I only did the top portion with the dots. The band aid and layers were cut with my Cricut mini using the Dr. Check up cartridge and was emboss with my Ebosser and the delicate dot folder.
This is how they open....instead of the usual folded card, I cut separate layers and used a brad to hold them  together.
I printed all the words on my printer with the word program then put them in my cricut and lined them up and cut them using just the shadow of the band aid.
.....and here is the finished invitation!
I hope you like my invitation. I got little Miss Leeya's approval on them.....so I was pretty HAPPY!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again really soon!
