HAPPY 239th BIRTHDAY MARINE CORPS

Hello Crafty friends!  I meant to post this last week....but I totally forgot.  My husband Keith retired from the Marine Corps in 2000 after serving 20 years!!  WOW!!  He has been retired 14 years! I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments!  I enjoyed going to the various Marine Corps balls throughout the years!  This was our first ball together in 1985 in Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina!  Boy, we were so young then!  LOL
I made this letter holder for Keith to place on his desk.  This was my first mod podge project.

I do hope you like my project!  I love how it turned out and I see more mod podge projects in my near future!
Thanks for stopping by......I do hope you will come back again really soon!

Sticky Notes Holder

Hi Crafty friends!  I have seen a lot of people creating sticky notes holders so I decided to give it a try. I have 2 different takes on it. One version is a plastic holder and the other is a stand up card.

I do hope you like my projects!  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you soon.

Guest designer on MCT!!

Hello Crafty friends!  I am so excited to be a guest designer on Miss Emma's blog!  I have loved her line of stamps and dies on My Creative Time for the past 2 years!  Miss Emma and her design team members are so very talented and AWESOME!!  So this really means a lot to me!  Now on to my projects for today.  I used items from her 34th July Release.  I really like the Fun Speech Bubble stamps and die set.  I also used her surprise pop out card die.  I used pop dots to add dimension to the speech bubbles and to the heart.
The picture below is the inside of the card where I used the stitched gift card pocket die.  On the outside of the pocket I used stitched sweetheart & xoxo dies.
I put a Zoo Atlanta membership card in the pocket...I love to go to  the zoo!
This is the card opened up.  I really love how it flips out.
I also made a keychain with the same dies and stamps on shrinky dinks!  I love to use strinky dinks!
I added the same paper on the card to the back of the keychain.  The pic does NOT do it justice...it really did come out great!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  And thank you again Miss Emma for the opportunity to be a guest designer!  I do hope you will come back to visit my blog!

My Mom's 71st birthday!!

Good morning Crafty Friends!  On July 18th, was my Mom's 71st birthday!!  So, my 3 kids and I each sent her a card.  She LOVES pictures, so I made her 2 photo albums filled with lots of pics!  Let me warn you, this one is kinda long......so bare with me.
This is a YourStory album with Tim Holtz corners, some ribbon and a layered label from Anna Griffin.
This is also a YourStory album with a MCT label die, embossed with an Anna Griffin folder and a Pin It flower embellishment from Purple Cows. I heat embossed the sentiment from CTMH on the label with black embossing powder from Stampin Up.
This card has an embossed layer and an Anna Griffin flower die layered and colored with chalk and spritzed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist and a bow.   I really LOVED how the die cut came out.  The picture does NOT do it justice.  The inside of the card is a Martha Stewart loop die and CTMH stamp.
This is my 1st box card!!  I didn't use a machine to cut this out...I did it by hand.  I had so much fun making this!!  I added some wooden embellishments by Claudine Hellmuth, MCT heart dies, and Anna Griffin embellishments.
This  next card is made with die cuts and papers from Kanban.  I love Kanban's foil papers and designs. The last card I used a Spellbinders birdcage and bird die and MCT flowers and label die.
I love easel cards.  It's so much you can do with them. I do hope this post wasn't too long.  Thanks for stopping by.  I do hope to see you again really soon.

Etching on metal!

Hello my Crafty friends!  A friend of mine contacted me and asked me to etch a metal item she had.  I had not etched on metal before....so I was a little hesitant.  I tried it on a tin that I had at home.
It's a little hard to see on this....but I like how it looks.
Lighting is really bad.
Here it is on the finished project.  I covered some of the info because it was personal stuff.  LOL  I will be doing more etching on metal now!  Can't wait!

I do hope you like my project.  Please come by again.....soon!  Thanks!

Vinyl on my walls!

Good morning my Crafty friends!  I would like to share the vinyls I put on my walls in my home.  I am so happy with how they came out! Can't wait to do more!
The weeding was fun to do!!  I added the emblem on the bottom and on the top to look like a frame.
The family one is at the bottom of the staircase and the bathroom one is in the kids bathroom above the toilet.  Even though the youngest is 16, they may still need a reminder from time to time!  LOL
This one is at the top landing on the staircase..to be seen by all!

I do hope you like my wall art!  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again real soon!

A fun card to make!

GOOD MORNING  my crafty friends! It has been a while since my last post.  I have been crafting quite a bit, I just haven't been posting my creations.  So I will try and play catch up! I ran across a youtube video showing how to make this double slider card.  I fell in love with it and just had to make one!  If you want to see the video, you can click HERE to see it.  Her name is Sari Hanninen.  So here is my take on her video....

This card is soooo cute!  You can also write something inside the card too because it still opens like a regular card. It's a little heavy, so extra postage will be needed.  You can use any stamp sets, so the possibilities are endless!!
Thanks for stopping by!  I do hope you like my card!  Come back again real soon!

Well, this is my bag with all sides of it decorated with iron on vinyl.  I do hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by.  Come back again really soon!
