Box covers and cups!!

Hello my Crafty friends!  I hope everyone is enjoying this cold snow day!!  I know I am!  Today's post is 2 box covers and cups that I made for two sweet little girls. I got 2 puzzles and 2 cups from the Dollar Tree.  I used MCT's 29th release for most of these projects.
I made the covers for these puzzles using mittens on the tops.  Tied either sheer ribbon or twisty twine on them to look like ponytails.  I hot glued 2 sets of hearts on the twisty twine to later be used as a book mark.  I pop dotted the biggest snowflakes on both covers and turned up the other snowflakes to add dimension.
I added googly eyes on the penguin.

..and a cute little sentiment on the heart for the other cover.
Just a close up of the hearts on both covers.
On both cups I used the MCT's lowercase fun dies for their names.
...and also the xo's and stars and hearts from the lastest release.  An added bonus is that the bottom of the cups are snack cups!  And the straws are attached!
The covers can be slipped on and off very easily.  And I was told they used the mittens today!!  Good timing!
Well, these are my projects for today.  I do hope you like what I have done!  I hope to see you back here again soon!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
Stay warm and be safe!!

50 and Fab!!

Hello my Crafty friends!  We moved to Georgia about 13 years ago when my hubby retired from the Marine Corps.  Well, one of my first friends that I met shortly after we moved here turned 50 back in December.  Her friends celebrated her birthday today.  She just ran a half marathon in Miami over the weekend!!! How awesome is that!!   So for my dear friend Juliet, I etched her a wine glass.
This is the front and the back of a blue wine glass.  I love the font, makes it look a little shaky as if too much sipping was done.
This fun flip card is from MCT 's latest release and is called Surprise Pop out die card.  And the cute little airplane die is also part of that release.  I also stamped Happy Birthday in red ink all around the card, but it is hard to see in the pics.
The xoxo die is so cute and was part of the release as well.  I have included the links to those items and to MCT's website, if you just click on the die's names.

The tags on the wine bag above were cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.  I used the negative parts of the cuts and layered them with red paper.  The tags on the bags are the exact size and font that I etched on the glass.
This picture above is the entire set.  I even used the negative part of the xoxo die on the outside of the envelope.

My dear friend loved her gift!!  I really enjoyed making it for her!
Thanks for stopping by!  I do hope you will come back again.

I learned a new technique......

Hello my Crafty friends!!  During a blog hop last week over at MCT, I ran across a technique that I fell in love with.  It was on Kate's blog.  In the technique she used some heart dies and instead of cutting them, she embossed them.  So, while I was waiting for my new set of dies that she used, I used the set I had on hand already.  And it was so easy to do!!

I really really like how it turned out!!  I hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by!  I will see you here again very soon!!

Silhouette Cameo decor......

Good afternoon my Crafty friends!  I have been looking at lots of people decorating their Silhouette Cameo machines.  They have done amazing jobs!!  I also wanted to decorate mine.  I chose to put my blog's name on my machine.  I really wanted to use a different font called "Maratre" but the lines are very thin.  I don't know how to make them thicker.  Maybe I will play around with it some more.
So I went with this font.
I really like how the eyes came out!  :-)  I do hope you like my design.  Thanks again for stopping by!  Hope to see you here again soon!  Enjoy your long weekend!

Wine me up......and Don't even ask! LOL

Hello my Crafty friends!  I hope you all are keeping warm on this brisk winter day. Today I etched 2 wine glasses for my sister.  I really love my air eraser and I think I have gotten my money's worth out of this tool!  We all have had days like these! I know that I have!!!   LOL  Let's call them "do over days"!  So on your next unbearable day....think about filling one of these glasses with your liquid of choice!   :-)

So that's all I have for today!  Thanks for coming by.....I hope you will come back again soon!!  If you have any comments, please leave them.  I would love to read them.  Enjoy the rest of your day!

redo of my hubby's glass.....

Hello my Crafty friends!  A few weeks ago I did a glass for my hubby.  It was one of my first steins that I did.  I just put a "K" on it.
I do love the "K"....but thought it looked kinda lonesome.   So I decided to add the rest of his name.  And because he retired from the marine corps after 20 years, I added the marine corps emblem on the other side of the glass.

So, there goes my updated glass for my hubby.  I hope you can see the design in spite of the lighting.  Thanks for stopping by.  I do hope you leave a comment.  I do love to read them.  Enjoy the rest of your week.....and I hope we bump into each other again....right here!   See you soon!!

More chargers...

Hello my Crafty friends!  The other day I posted my first charger that I made.  I enjoyed it so much that I made 2 more!  I do really like the end product of these 2. It was a little interesting doing the 2 colors on one phrases.  It has been so much easier using the contact paper as the transfer tape.  I can see exactly where to place the designs!!
Thinking they may need something else on the top and/or sides.  Not sure yet.  I may put a ribbon on them and see how that looks?  If I do, I will add the pictures later.

I do hope you like my post today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you here again really soon!!

Entry for a design team call....

Hello my Crafty friends!  Today my post is the project that I entered for a chance to be on the Design Team for  My Creative Time.   I didn't make the DT, as I knew I wouldn't because my projects are no where near the talent that the ladies on her DT display!!  Which is okay, but it sure was fun to apply and be considered!  But the bright side....I was asked to be a Guest Designer in August!!  I am over the moon about that one!!  So exciting!!  I will continue to do my crafts...get better and better...and who knows, one day I may make her DT!!  Okay..so on to my entries. We had to use her amazing products for our entries. Since I am in love with etching glass right now, of course one of my designs is an etched glass!  :-)
I used MCT's Classy Girl die complete with purse and shopping bag!  So perfect for my daughter Bri who loves to shop!  Her name is on the bottom with MCT's letter dies.
This card is for my Bri's birthday!  These are more of MCT's dies, the bow, little black dress, the shoes and the balloons!
My daughter's friends threw her a surprise Masquerade party for her 21st!!  She was so surprised and they had a blast! The layout is done using the Project Life set.  The wine glasses, her name, the "Party" banner, the cards,  the banner, her age and the balloons are all dies from MCT!!  I told you all I love her products!!
So these were my entries!  I do hope you enjoyed them!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you come back again really soon!!  Until next time.....see ya!

First time doing chargers....

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR my Crafty friends!!  I hope 2014 is being nice to you all so far.  It has been a good first week for me.  Today has been really cold! I really don't like cold weather!  Anyway...on to my project.  My project I'm posting today is my first attempt at putting vinyl on a charger!!  I bought quite a few chargers during the summer.....and I'm just getting the nerve up to put vinyl on one. I think I used the wrong transfer tape, because I couldn't see through the tape for placement....so it is off center!  And my OCD was kicking in and it bothered me...
...so I decided it needed something else....
I then added the cross to the right side...and some rhinestones on the florishes and on 2 of the i's.  I think the cross helped with it not being centered.  That's it for me today...I hope you like my first attempt putting vinyl on this charger.
So I pray that you all are blessed and prosper in 2014 beyond you're wildest dreams!!
