Birthday invites for Miss Leeya!

A friend of mine, Niki, asked me to make some invitations for her daughter Leeya's birthday party.  She is turning 3 and loves Doc McStuffins......so her Mom wanted band aids or a doctor's bag.  I found the band aid and a doctor's bag on the Dr. Checkup cartridge....I didn't like the bag so I went with the band aids. Here is the first one I made.....I wasn't feeling the lettering.  This was done with the Cricut mini, Disney font and a pink gel pen.
My daughter came up with the idea to emboss them with the dots to make them feel more like a real band aid....great idea!! I only did the top portion with the dots. The band aid and layers were cut with my Cricut mini using the Dr. Check up cartridge and was emboss with my Ebosser and the delicate dot folder.
This is how they open....instead of the usual folded card, I cut separate layers and used a brad to hold them  together.
I printed all the words on my printer with the word program then put them in my cricut and lined them up and cut them using just the shadow of the band aid.
.....and here is the finished invitation!
I hope you like my invitation. I got little Miss Leeya's approval on them.....so I was pretty HAPPY!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again really soon!

  1. This is too cute!!! I never would have thought of making a Band-Aid invite.

  2. These are so cute and unique! I love them. You are so creative Brenda, I love looking at your projects. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Holy cuteness!!! Now all you need is the Doc McStuffins cupcake toppers. I've got some ideas on my blog if you're interested.
